SUMMER CAMP FAQ

WHAT IS THE REGISTRATION FEE?  The registration fee covers expenses related to your child for administrative responsibilities, supplies and materials, a camp t-shirt and the family celebration on Friday following each camp session. This is a one-time fee per child. Whether you choose a single camp or multiple, there is only one registration fee. Because of this, registering for multiple camps is most cost-effective!

WILL PALMETTO PROPER BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC DURING CAMP? No. The facility will be closed to the public during summer camp to ensure a safe environment with the most beneficial experience for our campers.

ARE CAMP LEADERS QUALIFIED? Your child's safety and wellbeing are of the utmost importance. All camp leaders are certified teachers and come with years of experience in early childhood. Staff have been trained on emergency response situations in addition to safety protocols.

WILL MY CHILD HAVE PLAYTIME DURING CAMP? PalmettoProper stands firm that the most impactful and beneficial learning in early childhood takes place during play. We will spend time together with activities and crafts focusing on our camp themes while also allowing the children plenty of time to enjoy our enclosed play area.

IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR MY CHILD GETS SICK, ARE CAMP FEES REFUNDABLE? All registration and enrollment fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Our camps have limited enrollment space. When you register for camp, we reserve a spot for you that would otherwise be available for someone else. We also purchase supplies and arrange staffing to cover your care.

WHAT IS FAMILY CELEBRATION? From 4:30-5:30 on each Friday following camp week, families are invited to celebrate with our campers over an ice cream social and playtime! This is a great opportunity to meet your child's new friends, exchange contact information and celebrate in all they've experienced at camp! There is no additional fee for Family Celebration.

HOW CAN I BEST PREPARE FOR CAMP? Arrive to camp by 1pm to limit interruption and ensure your camper is picked up promptly at 4pm. Late arrivals and early departures are discouraged. Please wear clean socks and play clothes each day and bring a labeled water bottle. Campers should eat lunch prior to arrival (light snack will be provided). For the enjoyment and safety of all participants, please take time to thoroughly review our facility rules, encouraging good listening and participation.

WHAT IS YOUR SICK POLICY? Do not bring a sick child to summer camp. If your child shows any signs of illness (including but not limited to fever, vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours) or is unable to participate in the normal camp routine, please keep your child at home. Absenteeism due to illness does not warrant a refund.

WHAT AGES CAN ATTEND CAMP? We welcome campers ages 3 to 8 who are fully potty trained and able to use the restroom independently. Due to the schedule of activities, the amount of campers and for safety precautions, staff are unable to change diapers or assist beyond reason in the restroom.
