We have an immediate opportunity in a fun, upbeat environment for a well-rounded, positive team player to join our play cafe as a PART-TIME facility associate. Working with Palmetto Proper offers work flexibility in a family owned business that is built on community and relationships.

This Facility Associate position is engaged in all areas of the business, providing a quality customer experience in our gift shop, coffee/concession bar, special events, and indoor playground.

While this position is roughly 3 days per week, qualified applicants must have availability to work during any of our normal business hours (Mon-Sat 10am-4pm and Sun 1pm-5pm), with occasional flexibility to work after-hour events. All training is provided for the right person with strong work ethic, a positive/outgoing personality, honesty and integrity! Wages include a Base Pay Plus Tips pay structure, so you determine your income potential! Employees receive facility discounts plus free play area memberships for their children (if applicable). Advancement opportunities are available.

Duties may include:

• Greets and engages with visitors in a welcoming, energetic, friendly and professional manner
• Maintains play space to ensure cleanliness and safety
• Operates register for retail, play & cafe sales
• Assists with birthday parties and special events.
• Prepares coffee beverages
• Optimizes sale opportunities
• Other miscellaneous tasks as needed

General Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation, reliable childcare (if applicable) and be dependable
• Have good interpersonal skills with a positive team attitude
• Possess basic math skills to operate a point of sale system
• Enjoy working with and around children
• Ability to react appropriately in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and prioritizing duties
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Excellent organizational skills, and oral and written communication skills
• Ability to bend, kneel and lift up to 35 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk around for extended periods of time.
